The D's Eat

Local Wings Review: The Wing Kitchen

Who would have thought a Chopped champion would open a wings joint at a local golf course? I never would have, especially with that local golf course being within walking distance of my house! But boy, am I glad Timothy Witcher did!

The Wing Kitchen is connected to the bar at Wedgewood Country Club in Washington Twp, NJ and is gaining popularity through word of mouth. Anymore, you can find locals mingling with the golfers and the bartenders. If you prefer not to sit at the bar, there is a room adjacent where you can sit and eat. I’ve been here three times now, twice having sit at the bar. Frank and Brittanie are the two bartenders I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with and they are both fantastic.

Wickedly Awesome Wings

Now, you’re probably wondering about the food. There’s just one word to describe it: delicious. With six sauces to choose from, you won’t even remember that you are not offered ranch or bleu cheese dressing. Witcher wants you to taste the flavor of the sauces, not drown it out with dressing from the bottle.

Another good thing about the selection of wings is you are not overwhelmed by options. Choices include wings, tenders, a sandwich and a few sides. I tend to stick to the tenders basket with the garlic parm (it’s got a kick to it!) and sesame ginger sauces. My husband, I believe, has now tried all the sauces. He is a fan of the smokehouse BBQ. I have smelled the honey jalapeno sauce as it went by and it smelled amazing! I’ve even heard it’s not spicy!

Donut Forget Dessert

You definitely want to save room for dessert as well! Besides their wings, The Wing Kitchen is becoming famous for it’s fried donut with caramel sauce. Even if you don’t think your stomach can handle any more food at this point, order the donut to go, you’ll thank me later.

If you are in the area and looking for some good wings, The Wing Kitchen is located at 200 Hurfville Rd. Turnersville, NJ 08012.
