Date Activities for Winter

With winter starting tomorrow, I wanted to take some time to look at some of the top winter date activities. Sadly, this is something A and I struggle with but we know it’s needed to help keep our marriage going. Luckily for us, we live in the Philly region and there are so many holiday activities we can use at date night ideas. For those not in Philly area, let’s look at some ideas for you.

Holiday Themed Date Ideas

There are so many activities you can do in the winter that are holiday themed including:

  • Driving around looking at Christmas lights
  • Bake cookies
  • Holiday movie binge-a-thon on Hallmark
  • Go to a Christmas concert
  • Build a Gingerbread house together
  • Pick out a Christmas tree together
  • After picking out the perfect tree, decorate it
  • Go caroling
  • Explore your local holiday bazaar
  • Host a holiday party

Non-Holiday Themed Ideas

  • Go ice skating
  • Make snow angels
  • Go sledding
  • Build a fort (snow or blanket)
  • Have a snowball fight
  • Stay at a bed and breakfast
  • Go to a winter sporting event

Personally, A and I have season tickets for the Philadelphia Wings lacrosse team, so we turn home games into date afternoons/nights depending on the time they play. In this blogger’s opinion, there’s nothing better than cheering on the Wings and, while being led by Chopper, taking jabs at the opposing team when they enter the penalty box. With a cheesesteak in hand of course.

What are your favorite winter date activities?
